Looking at the first picture, it never dawned on me that this might be 2 seperate pieces. I really like the fact that they are not 2 identical pieces placed on top of each other. I think that is what caused me to oversee what now seems obvious.
Your choice of woods is stunning. Very nice piece.
The tansu style is an often-overlooked well of inspiration. You have built a beautiful set of cabinets in the traditional style. The choice of woods is not as traditional, I think, but it really works well with these cabinets. Very nicely done! Thank you for posting the photos.
Beautiful - I been looking for a modern verison of a traditional tansu cabinet. Yours gives me ideas. Great job!
This is a nice interpretation of the traditional Tansu style. I really like that you can stack them or use the two pieces as separate units. For anyone looking for a ready-made kitchen cabinet kit for a kitchen remodel or a new kitchen should go to http://kitchencabinetdepot.com/. When I was remodeling my kitchen I ordered my kitchen cabinet kit from there and I love the new cabinets. These cabinets were made with solid wood and plywood construction with NO PARTICLEBOARD. These are the same materials that are used in all high-end kitchen cabinets.
