entertainment center
This is the only picture I could find of this simple entertainment center I made out of a beautiful piece of chestnut from PALS in Oakland, and another board of salvaged elm milled from a tree on the Andrew Jackson “Hermitage” estate that had been hit by a tornado. It’s not the fanciest thing I’ve made, but is simple and shows off the wood well. Drawer handles were fashioned from a pice of burl, possibly Madrone, I found while walking in some woods in Booneville, CA. Can’t find any shots of the side now but Dolly sure seems pretty happy in it.

Since being laid off last year I had to move and no longer have a workshop, and I'd like to build one in this house I worked on and live in but don't own. It will be a while before I pursue my love of woodworking again. In the meantime I do carpentry projects, including decks, landings, kitchen cabinets, fences, gates--all simple and affordable but done well. I have also built 3 steel string guitars.
