This evening, while working on my dorset custom furniture blog, I came across a draft post I started in July of 2008. It was basically a little riff on the importance of Taunton Press and Finewoodworking Magazine, thanking them for their contribution to our craft … Since it’s the end of the Thanksgiving Weekend, I thought it only appropriate that i finish it up and post it up there … Take a bow all you Taunton Folks and know that we out here in cyberspace applaud and appreciate your efforts to move our craft forward …

You're too kind Dan. And right back at you... I'm thankful for our enthusiastic woodworking audience.
I would like to endorse and second Dan's Thank you. Recently, I was going through a slump in my woodworking and Fine Woodworking and Fine Woodworking books helped me out of it; theu are one of the touchstone sources of information for me. I lucked into a full set of FWW early on in my adventures in woodworking, and the ever growing (and groaning) shelves that hold them have been a huge resource for my woodworking. Keep up the good work.

A tremendous resource and continuing inspiration. My thanks also.

I am at the point where I either have to build more shelves for my FW magazines or buy the digital collection -- but I can't bear to part with the hard copies. I'll probably end up with both! :-) I really appreciate and greatly benefit from my subscription to and reading of FW. I read and reread every magazine I receive in the mail. (Not to mention the great website!) All my thanks!
Thank You FWW for providing this site... Although I am an amateur wood-worker, Your site is really helping me to gain valuable knowledge that I'm sure will increase my Joy, and more importantly, my Skill on my Journey to becoming a fine wood craftsman. The Videos sent in by Your Audience and Staff are greatly appreciated. Keep Up the Good Work, Y'all... Look forward to many more helpful tips to come.
Sincerely, Mike in Mississippi
The digital world came to my rescue. We had to lose some stuff and mountains of FW had to go (to a good home I might add). But now I can have the CD and have it ALL! FW's jump to the cybermedium has been a huge plus in my involvement and interest. Watching Garrett Hack do his little tool cabinet was spellbinding. A magazine just isn't the same! PLEASE ask Garrett to do more. Now I can compare HOW I do things, approach situations, plan and use tools to a master like him who makes it look so easy. I watch every move of his hands.
Thanks FW. I am a dedicated FWW.com user now. I learn best by watching so please increase video content.
Today is Thanksgiving 2010, wandering thru this great site, wondering how I'd be learning woodworking without FWW. Thanks for your magazine and this site.
