Drawing/Artist table
My high school daughter wants a drawing table for christmas and after looking at the premade ones and what they get for them, I decided to make my own. The mahogany legs are 4pcs. mitred together 2-1/4″ square and the sides are mortised into the legs and the top is made from maple plywood with mahogany edging. I used the tilting table hardware available from rockler and it works very nice. (installation instructions wasn’t very good ) The tilting table has an adjustable lip to raise and lower when the table is tilted to hold pens, paper, etc. It didn’t cost a lot to build and I hope it will inspire my daughter to paint me a picasso.

Pawest,
Very nice, great selection of woods. This will last your daughter a life time and then some.

Very nice. I used to be a Machine Designer and I used drafting tables like these for years and I wish I had one as nice as this
I wish I had had a table like this when I learned drafting. It is not only a fully functional drafting table, it is a really beautiful piece of furniture. Great work!
A real professional piece of work
Being an old draftsman , I've always liked drafting tables , but this one is a beautiful piece of furniture . I,ve been thinking of a project lately an this looks like it could be my inspiration .
I'm just completing a collapsible desk for my very mobile daughter; I wish I had seen this earlier. I'll have to make her a second one - I hope it will be as beautiful as this one!
Very nice. Does it give her enough table top? Or can you have too much table top? lol
Very good job!
I just love its design pattern.
