Cherry Step Stool (from FWW #203)
This project was made almost entirely with hand tools. Only the initial cutting apart was done with power tools. All thickness planing, joint cutting, surface prep, etc., was done using only hand tools. This was the first time I have done this on any project, and I enjoyed it greatly!
I followed Tommy’s plan in most respects. I used 5/4 thickness, so I ended up with a 1″ thickness all around, and I used a 14 degree dovetail marker. Also, I cut tails first! 🙂
Finish is two coats of BLO and then numerous coats of super blonde shellac.
This was a fun project, and thanks for looking!
