English Style Bracket Clock (Mahogany)
I designed and built this Mantel Clock for my inlaws this holiday after looking up some pictures of old english style bracket clocks. They love old-fashioned style things, especially made with exotic woods. And small Clocks make great gifts. The body is solid African Mahogany with Antique Brass Hardware. Joinery is Dadoes and locking Rabbits. The finished clock is about 10″ tall X 8″ wide and 4″ deep. Finish is natural oil (Pure Linseed “Tried and True”). This project was a real pleasure to work on. -TLR

Nice clock, and nice work too. I particularly like the use you make of the molding profiles. The design looks great and the curves flow in a delicate and gentle fashion. To my eye, they make the clock more 'valuable'. Your clock really inspires me.

(p.s.-sorry for the weird screen name; computer choked up on me and that's what it ended up as. I don't know what happened! ha ha)
This is a beautiful piece. The smooth simple design, accented by the nicely finished molding brings it to life and is coordinated with the non-embellished clock face.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks bearpuf. It was very well received by the inlaws on Christmas. They immeadiately placed it on the mantle! It's always a great feeling when others enjoy our work. Thanks again. -TLR
