Grandson’s treasure Chest
This is a Treasure Chest for my Grandson Stuart. The lid is held in place by the hollow Chest in the centre, the lid swings open in four sections. Each lid section contains a piece of another chest that act as a knob for opening and closing. It has two drawers one in the front and one in back which are locked by a Chest attached to a short dowel that goes through the bottom of the upper section. There are two “secret” compartments behind the drawers that are accessed by pushing down on their covers which have pin hinges. it was made from miscellaneous pieces left over from other projects.

This is awesome!!
Very nice. I'll bet your grandson will love this and play with it for a long time. Secret compartments are a perenial favorite. I really like the way the top opens it is quite unique!
This is a remarkable piece of work! One can't help but admire the creativeness and ingenuity that went into this. It's clever and attractive, not to mention complex in the joinery. (The keyed miters are a nice touch) I'm sure your grandson will love it, but not half as much as you enjoyed making it! Cheers! -TLR
