"THE BOVINE STRING QUARTET...PLAYS VIVALDI"
“The Bovine String Quartet…,” four ‘cowboys’ playing mandolin, violin, guitar and bass. The ‘players’ are hand carved, with each instrument carved to scale and is played by a combination of levers and specially designed discs that are turned by a small electric motor…The ‘campfire’ has a small blinking light bulb that gives the ‘fire’ a certain flicker. It has a small speaker that can be hooked to a cassette player. Carving was done with a Dremel tool.
