Beautiful piece and craftsmanship.
Very nice. Elegant, understated. Question- Is the carcass mitered? (Hard to tell from this photo) And I guess becuase the legs are attached only to the edge of the carcass and the top, and there are no side rails, wood movement isn't an issue?
Very handsom cabinet! I say handsom because it seems masculine to me although it also has elegance and is delicate at the same time.
Very nice cabinet. I like the materials, the proportions in the design, and the use of space. Well done!
Thank you!
Yes, the case is mitered, with no frame and panel; the top is the same flatsawn cut as the case so all sides, tops, and bottom will expand/contract at the same rate. The case corners are let into a rabbet in the legs, which in turn are tenoned into the top;everything locks together and moves as a whole unit.
Nicely done. I like that you chose wood colors what complement each but with enough contrast to give it depth. What woods did you use? I also like the fact that even though it's a good size cabinet it has an airy and lightness look it's design.
I really appreciate the details in the dovetailing and handle, nice touch! Thanks for sharing.
Actually it's all solid cherry; I played around with matching different cuts to get differring reflections from the grain, thats how it looks like it has different tones
An exceptional piece, artfully designed and executed with perfection. Bravo!
