Router Dado Jig
Today I finished a jig to allow me to route dados. It is a clever jig (from a competitors magazine), in that one puts the board for which the dado is needed, and tightens the moveable piece down. Then remove the board and run the router down the guide and back down the other side. It allows one to create a dado of up to 1.5 inches.
To those of you that found that to be not my typical style and really boring, I have blogged about making a jig, the last 2 days. Those familiar with my style will notice that I have tried to make a fairly boring part of my journey in woodworking a bit more colorful. Since this is a sort of 2 day thing, if you want to follow the story, you should click on the first link, then look for the second part.
Of course you may not be interested in my blog. In which case, don’t click on the link. 🙂
