Where did you find the reclaimed hickory?
The chairs are interesting and perhaps deserve more interest than the table. I'm taken with the back slats that reflect the gap in the table top. I almost wish they continued below the seat to a lower rail between the back legs, sort of woven into a conventional chair frame. But the set is quite nice as it is.

I agree with your thoughts about the back slats PSeverin. I had the same thought after They were done... hind site. Maybe on the next ones. The hickory I just lucked on to at a reclaimed wood lot ( http://www.Trestlewood.com ). A rare find and I did not have enough to finish the chairs so had to mix in some new wood But was really happy to find what I did with the live edge. Thanks for the feedback.
