Walnut and maple table
This walnut and maple table is made entirely with wedged mortise and tenon joints, with the exception of the attachment of the top. The two haves of the walnut top slide from the front and back onto sliding dovetail stretchers. The inlaid rocks cover small defects in the surface of the top. The natural waney edge of the walnut top adds beauty and character.

It's beautiful table Doug. I love maple and walnut together. What is the finish?
It is finished in Deft Danish Oil, and with a final coat of MinWax satin urethane spray on the top surface for protection from wear.
Very handsome! I've used deer antler, brass, copper, and carbon fiber with some of my woodwork but never rocks. Clever.
Beautifully done. I really like the design and the materials. Great table!
