Fence Post Ducks.

Fence post duck

For over 175 years, these ducks have been sitting on top old fence post in Colorado, just waiting for some one to take them home. It is a very interesting walking along the ranchers fence line and selecting the post tops that look like a duck. ( permission must be gotten from the rancher)

They are band sawed, the heads are hand made from scrap wood of similiar species. No two will ever be alike.

this is a credit to the maker - to interpret and carve to another form of nature leads our thinking in how important is every part of our plant and animal life - this work has real meaning
