Scrap Wood Trivets

Hand made scrap wood trivets of walnut, cherry, hickory, maple, mahogany and ash.
My wife and I glued together 60 trivets measuring 6″x6″x3/4″ and 6 measuring 10″x10″x3/4″. All were glue using waterproof glue and finished with walnut oil. The trivets were donated and handed out as door prizes for the 2009 Palace Kitchen Theater Tour. The scaps were collected over a few years and were destined for someones wood stove. My wife and I decide to build these trivets with the thought “Waste Not, Want Not”.
