Wooden Hinged Box from scraps
This is my first attempt at making wood hinges. I saw some great ideas on this site and decided to give it a try. The cutting tool in the box is called a K-Lux knife. Its a tool used to score plexiglas and lexan prior to snapping on the scored line. I had stored this tool in the bottom of my toolbox for nearly 30 years and decided to give it a better home.
The following types of wood were used: western red cedar, eastern white pine, southern yellow pine, cherry, and beech.

Now THIS is what should show up in a "scraps" contest!!

While the tables and built-ins are nice too, I just don't have the cash to aquire those kind of "scraps" This is more my size.
I'm really admiring those hinges ... doesn't look first try to me. :)
