All of this set of cabinets were saved from the burn pile. I brought wood  home for days in pieces much less than 4ft(most). The upper cabinets are constructed mostly of western cedar planks. The lower cabinets are mostly white pine topped with t&g maple strips. Most of the trim is poplar, some bass wood. The rock is even recycled from a different project at a friends home.The sides of the fire chase are lined with 2 sets of dvd shelves. And the corner shelves give a little extra flare. The finish is a mixture of two minwax stains. followed by 2 coats of satin poly.
