Cut from scrap
I had this scrap given to me some forty years ago. For some reason I kept it, not knowing the grain that was in it. What a surprise when our old plastic coffee scoop broke and I decided to try making a spoon. I am a wood pack rat and don’t throw away any wood. Anyway, this piece of scrap has been ignored for a long time because of its weird shape. It was waiting for this project.

I think the Coffee Bean Spoon is incredibly beautiful. I would use it twice a day because I have 2 lattes everyday. I would be able to have this on my counter as a functional art object. And would love using it.
I hate plastic, and this would be an ideal spoon to leave on the counter. Plain view and displayed with pride. Great idea.
