Christmas in March

I finally finished the christmas present for my wife. The box consists of walnut sides and frame for the lid. Solid maple bottom with leather lining. the upper tray is solid cherry with fairly small halfblind dovetail corners. the feet and the floating panel of the lid are made of olive wood. The light coloured trim around the lid is holly. The finish is oil, shellac and a light coat of wax. Building the box was a fun project with a bunch of lessons learned.
Overall size is about 9.5″ by 7.25″ by 4.75″ high.
