“Stickley” inspired sideboard
This “Stickley” inspired sideboard is constructed of quartersawn white oak. I was fortunate in finding matched boards that I used to create a very unique figure on the top.

Very nice. Your matched top really sets of superb craftsmanship. Two questions: 1) what finish did you apply, and 2) have you built similar bedroom end tables? I'm looking for some design examples. Thank you kindly.
I stained the sideboard with a 3/1 mixture of Watco medium walnut and cherry stain. I then applied a coat of 3/1 varnish/mineral spirits, followed by 3 coats of 50/50 varnish/mineral spirits, wet sanding between coats and a final coat of 3/1 varnish/mineral spirits.
I've not made end tables as of yet.
Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!
Great job! Looks stunning!
Stickley is one of my favorite styles, shaker my second. Thier utilitarian presence gives them a proud stance. The color is quiet pleasing.
What a superior display of skill and craftmanship! Your eye for detail and taking advantage of the wood grain makes for an especially stunning piece.
Sorry for the delay in resonding... have been out of the country. Thank you for the info... I will give your receipe a go. Have you made end tables yet?
