Very smart - but can I suggest that you shorten the feet - more like the Reitveldt Z-chair?
All the same - I like it a lot and I'd like to 'borrow' the concept one day!
One of the more original chair designs I've come across. It looks like it's gathering itself to jump across the room.
I like this design a lot. It's simple, elegant and a few of these would look great in my screen room.
I wish I could learn more about how the critical joints were done. I would probably do half-laps and reinforce them with a couple of hardwood dowels.

Thanks for your interest for my Z chair!
I am of the same opinion with you.
Half-laps and two dowels are suffficient for 45 degree joints.
