I like the design, the combination of Mahogany Jabota and Zebra wood and the overall execution. Good job!
could you tell me more about your joinery?
Hello hima,
The joinery on the stretchers is a traditional mortise and tenon, but the joinery on the legs is the zebra wood circles with two small loose tenons on each side. it was a lot of work, but I it achieved the look I was after. the zebra wood "risers" that hold up the top are simply joined with dowels and the top is secured with figure 8's which allow for wood movement.
Beautiful design...it has a great rhythm and flow. Excellent choice of materials and craftsmanship.
Thank you, that was very insightful
