Red Oak Table and Home Built Drum Sander
This is the 1hp 30" sander I built to level the table top panels. It uses two hinged leaves controlled by a shoulder vice to hold the work parallel and secure against the drum.
When my daughter told me she had 15 coming for Christmas dinner I knew I would have to get busy. Her single pedestal table seated 6, but turned sideways there was room in her dining room/ living room for a second table placed end to end.

This is the red oak double pedestal table I built for my daughter's family gatherings. With two 30" leaves in place it seats 10. I purchased the pedestals, curved apron sections, and internal extension mechanism off site.
