This was an old captains bed frame I bought for 40 dollars, it was completely made of maple. So I took it apart and rebuilt it then I built the headboard and foot board from scratch with some ideas from the web. The door on the side of the headboard is a bookshelf that slides out on full extension drawer slides giving lots of storage and a small hidden compartment. Alot of my projects are recycled or just wood that is destined for the landfill.
