Walnut Table and Chairs
I made this walnut table and chairs for my wife. The table legs are made from 3″ thick slabs of walnut. The apron is bent walnut – this was a challenge.

Impressive! Walnut is my favorite wood, it machines good and takes a good finish.
I really like the design and figure in the top is awesome! Did you have to make jigs for making the chairs and if so how long did it take to tool-up for the chair's pattern? Thanks.
Thank you both! The chairs were a lot of work. They are my first attempt and are all mortise-tenon joinery. Every joint is a compound angle adding to the complexity. The only jig I made was to cut the tenon for the curved upper back piece. The tenon had to be perpendicular to the side support. The rest was simply tedious layout and hand work - which I loved!
Fantastic craftsmanship! Can I ask what finish did you use for the table? Thanks.
