I needed a table that could stay outside so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I made this bench withe construction grade lumber and finished it with Danish oil and poly. The top is two 4 x 8 sheets of 3/4 plywood held together with deck screws and glue. The stretchers are mortise and tenon held tight with bolts,no racking, added a 9 inch vise and some bench dogs from Rockler. I wanted a big table so I could use it for everything from assembly to finishing. I think I will add a cabinet later. All together I think I spent about $250.00 counting the vise.
