Asian inspired coffee table
This coffee table is my own design and really the first big project I undertook as a woodworker. I built this table several years ago and it is still one of my favorite pieces. This table sits in my living room and gets plenty of day to day use. It is made from solid cherry with small accent squares of curly maple.

Very elegant design, Clean lines, I would like to say that U re a very talented person, and thanks to share with us your design.
How did you keep the miters from breaking if the top is made of solid cherry? Great looking legs by the way!
Thanks you for all of the comments, I really appreciate it. I think the miters didn't break because I live in Nevada and the humidity doesn't change much. I also used well seasoned cherry and to glue all the joints I used Titebond III. I built this several years ago and now that I know more about wood movement, I think I've been pretty lucky they are still tight!
great table. i especially like the legs. how did you shape them?
The legs were shaped out of 12/4 cherry on the band saw and then lots of rasps and sandpaper!
