Semi-circular hall table
This small hall table (80 cm high x 60 cm wide) is made of ripple sycamore, with a curved apron of brick-built lime veneered with spalted beech. It is my own design, inspired by Steve Latta’s Federal card table in FW180. The front legs use Steve’s combined bridle/sliding dovetail but the back legs are connected by offset mortice and tenons; this made assembly a bit tense because there was no way I could find to clamp the curved apron. I cut the veneer from a failed turning blank that I had had lying around for ages. The finish is tung oil and wax.
