This is a lectern I built for Gracie Barra America.  Gracie Barra is a school for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  The cabinet is made out of natural bamboo. The patch is Padauk and curly maple.  The lettering is amber bamboo inlayed in. The belt is Amber bamboo. The knot is hand carved. The stripes on the belt (rank) is natural bamboo and Padauk.  The fighters are mostly walnut burl and curly maple.  I turned the knob in Padauk and natural bamboo, then carved through the bamboo to create the “G”.  The drawer sports hand cut dovetails.  The cabinet has a white wash.
