In response to mcgtr555's comment. The very currency that permitted you to post a comment on this site, had the words In God We Trust on it. Kinda makes you wonder, doesn't it? Maybe you should change your name to mcgtr666. what do you think? What ever post you leave about me, make it a very long one. That way I may copy it and use it as a bird cage liner.

The currency that pays for my subscription to this website carries no such statement as "In God We trust".(I don't live in America). I don't trust her/him because she/he never has existed.
Now back to woodworking.
How could an imaginative reader use a Pacific Ocean Razor Clam in a woodworking context?

Well hagismuncher, I do like a man that follows orders. Well, a birdcage liner it is.
Gaflaugen, prepare to line your birdcage (I suppose it's worth pointing out that a birdcage would be an appropriate addition to a WOODWORKING site).
A few observations: The fact that this post hasn't been removed is absurd - it has nothing to do with woodworking. As astute readers might note, the url is not http://www.selfrighteousproselytisers.com, it is finewoodworking.com.
It's also worth pointing out that while our currency may make reference to (a) God, a founding principle of this country was SEPERATION of church and state - not to mention the freedom of religion. I'll concede that Gaflaugen comes off as a combative, christian jingoist, but I refuse to deny his right to believe whatever suits him.
Lets keep this site about miters, luster, dovetails and that savory scent of sawdust; we can leave theological debates to other publications.

I enjoy this site. It's new for me. I'm just an old retired union carpenter. I liked the razor clam just because I am also a retired commercial lobster man. Let it be said.......This site is about WOODWORKING …...not walks on the beach or even church for that matter.....
Well nice to see a man who knows that the best wood glue is made from boiling down clams into a fine paste, your friends and family will leave you of course. Down here in Antarctica timber is pretty hard to source, as indeed are any other woodworking supplies, I do however have an ample supply of fish and other sea creatures for making fish glue. Want some?
