nwgeoff I know I am going to bum you out but it looks like this all the time: I take an hour at the end of the day to clean up, otherwise it gets too messy.
Nice shop!! I have an upstairs shop with a concrete floor with living area underneath. What did you do to soundproof the shop noise from the lower level? Thanks!

I have a basement shop underneath a livingroom and would like to make it so those reading above aren't annoyed at my banging and carrying on down below. More important is not waking the wife and kids when I escape downstairs to putter around at midnight. The shop ceiling is the usual rafter/subfloor configuration. Any suggestions out there are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug
For those asking about sound deadening if you can I would try the sound deadening mat material you can put in walls under your flooring if possible as well as insulating the walls with insulation rated for good sound deadening. I know insulating existing walls can be a chore when your walls are already up and insulated but at least it wouldn't be downstairs in your living area creating a huge mess.

It is gorgeous but it looks awfully clean. Please tell me the photos were taken between projects and are not representative of normal conditions.
