Walnut writing desk
This desk was inspired by the Goddard/Townsend tea tables. Using walnut instead of mahogany provided a grain pattern that enhanced the curves in the rails. The flat section of the rail is a drawer with birds eye maple interior. The top is a single piece of walnut

Beautiful piece of furniture! Walnut is my second choice of wood to work with - cherry is my first. Mahogany is just a little too pricey for me. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.
