Mission inspired dresser

This was my original plan. Just something I came up in my head.
Building a new dresser to replace an armoire that was broken during our last move. The design comes out of my head but I am trying to make it roughly match the other furniture in the bedroom. My first attempts at Hand cut Dovetails!

very good first attempt, only wish my first dovetails looked so good. thank you for including the rough sketch of the plan, I am always looking for new idea as we also prepare to undertake a new bedroom suite.
Thanks! I will try to post more pictures as it progresses. I finished the joints on the backs of all 8 drawers and I started on the half blinds for the fronts. Good times!!
