Very nice--very organized clamps! Tell us about your workbench. Where'd you get the design/concept. -gina
Interesting shop, can you tell us a few things about it: Are those lights under the workbench cabinets? What kind of flooring do you have - wondering if it eases the strain from the concrete floor. Any comments on how to get materials/sheet goods into the shop?
Nice posting, always good to see where a typical member actually works on their art, not everyone has a Finewoodworking dream shop!
Robert.
In response to the questions:
Yes,those are task lights that I bought from a buddy that used to work at Herman Miller Office Furniture. The flooring is is a linoleum(?) tile. Easier to clean than cement...not sure about easier on the feet though. I always break down the sheet goods at the suppliers store or in the garage before hauling it down the stairs. Actually...the shop was a featured shop in FWW when they did an article on basement shops....although I not sure that I view myself as "typical" :-)
Workbench was a built from a plan in that "other" magazine that only has plans and no ads ...if you get my drift. The wall cabinet system was from a different magazine's Idea Shop.
Where is the saw dust? Great shop.

My enhancement with hand and power tools has been (as my wife puts it)an addiction. Just because every time we go to a home improvement store,I spend a long time time in the tool sections. Thank the Carpenter in the Sky I have never had to wonder what I wanted to do when I retired, besides building my own shop and all other fixer uppers around the house,I enjoy my wood working hobbies. Four years ago we moved to California from Oregon,we just got tired of the cold winters and snow. However I enjoyed hunting deer, elk and other critters with long bows. After having purchased several bows, cost me a small fortune. I decided to learn how to make working bows out of various hard woods backed by bamboo. My inventory of power tools (addiction)my buddy and I built a 15X15X15 wood working shop.Soon there after I made several bows, then I decided to carve figures on the handles, that started a long love affair with wood carving everything from funny characters and a great Nativity Scene for my wife. Later it struck me to learn how to carve birds of prey and raptors.
Then came the move to California after retiring We purchased
a mobile home in a mobile home park,LOL not shop, park and city rules prohibited from building anything larger than a
16X7X12 foot shop. So now all my wood working hobbies are limited to wood carving. Yes it's cramped,I have good sized windows, dust collectors, power and edge carving tools and new band saw so life is all what you make of and just enjoying it
along with the good and the bad.

Great looking shop. I like the sawdust on the floor and a few wood scraps. But the pipe clamps are way too organized. It is creating shop anxiety on my part. Maybe remove just one of them.
Just kidding
Geoff
I am with Geoff, Please remove one clamp. I could not live that way! LOL
Another messy woodworker
Almost neihbors.Very nice, not the clutter like mine 10x20 shop. Did you build the bench your self? That's kind of what I would like to build. Again very nice.
