These were made one weekend out of nessesity to use on a demilune table that we were right in the middle of. The design is adapted from Steve Lattas/Lie-Nielson. I’m horribly left handed so made the slicing Gauge beam able to switch from left to right. The thicknesser is set up to rough out in one slot then finish size in the other slot, It is very accurate. The thicknesser uses utility knife blades reground to create a scaper edge. The slicer uses #11 exacto blades, when it dulls just put in a new one. Until now I have never spent much time making hand tools but it proved to be fun and they are a joy to use. One caution though once you start making hand tools you may get addicted.
