workbench
I had to be able to move my workbench to get at my supply of wood stacked behind it. This series of photos shows how I solved the problem of moving a massive bench in my workshop. The other end of the bench as the same set up. With the wheels locked down, I can move this bench with very little effort, it only takes moments, and with the wheels stored in the up position, the bench is rock solid on the floor.

I've seen variations on this theme but not this simple and clean. I'd say you nailed spot on. My choice in the future if you don't mind.
Tremos, thanks for the compliment. I don't mind at all. Feel free to imitate. I picked up those wheels at a garage sale - all 4 for $5.00, so I just had to find a use for them. The hinges were purchased earlier with no projects in mind - a Lee Valley sale. Eventually all things find a use.
Excellent! Thank you for sharing. This a great idea. I may do it with my new bench.
Great idea and execution.
Great design....simple, efficient! As a partially disabled wood worker, I need to be able to move things without bending. Thanks!
