I hope your UK readers don't attempt to enter this competition. The phrase 'Show us your drawers', in UK English is a colloquialism that translates roughly into US English as 'Show me your panties'
No kidding

TimNott - It does in the US as well. It's a joke - a play on words.
this is a strange contest. if a woodworker submits a pick of his dovetail drawers and wins, why would he/she need a jig? maybe the contest should be open to all so that he or she can elevate the quality of their work by using the jig. i'd love to make beautiful drawers using dovetail joinery but i need a nice jig such as the Leigh.
Personally, I don't have a Leigh, I use an Incra jig. It would be great to win a Leigh. I think it's a fantastic contest idea. Because someone has made DT's doesn't mean they couldn't use this jig. I've heard nothing but good things about this jig. I'll be posting some DT's shortly.
I agree that the Leigh jig is an excellent idea for a prize. My son Kevin is currently learning the trade and building his own collection of quality tools. He's had his eye on a Leigh for a while, so hopefully I can help him along with this.
Hey guys -
Perhaps you'ld like to know the source of your clever contest title. The Furniture Society's 2006 biennial exhibition in Indianapolis, IN. was titled "Show us Your Drawers", and traveled to several venues throughout the US for the next year and a half. It was a very important and successful show.

I would like to see only hand-cut dovetails eligible to enter, and you accept entries from all over the world. It's OK for Leigh to sponsor the event because the winner will then receive a Leigh machine. If the winner has used a Leigh machine the contest looks rigged.
