Bowfront Chest of Drawers

Pinned bowfront drawers have custom lift-out trays to fulfill customer request.
This is the top drawer in an 8-drawer chest made of walnut. Drawers are poplar with curved walnut fronts made with bentwood lamination. Customer requested lift-out trays for the top two drawers to accommodate notions. Drawer fronts are pinned to the sides with dowels.

Are those two trays per drawer (top 2 drawers)? Are they held in place in any way or will they slide around if there was nothing behind them. I like that by the way.
