Castor’s Folly
Castor’s Folly 2010 Maple, white oak, basswood, Acrylic artist paint. Studio Furniture created for a local group woodworking exhibition. Three of the viewed drawers are functional,angled dovetails throughout. Two of the exterior drawers are faux.The doors open to reveal three small white oak faced drawers with ebony pulls. The exterior is painted to resemble birch bark.

Wow.... I'm guessing that slamming any of those drawers would be.... "BAD"????
No worries on slamming the doors. I created an armature of steel and laminated basswood around it for the "chewed" effect. Solid, no wobbles

Important to give credit to Beaumont. The connection/inspiration is clear.
I owe a nod to many for my inspiration including Beaumont. As an instructor used to say, “We are all playing in someone’s backyard,” and are indebted to them.
