This hall bench was made to my daughter’s specifications.  She had a curved wall and a photo of the design she wanted.  I had to modify the design to accommodate the curved wall and add two drawers and a boot cabinet.   The wood of choice was Walnut to go with the kitchen table I made earlier.  I was able to sneak in some custom dove tails I call “Love Tails” a phrase coined by an unknown wood worker from my past.  In the last year I built a home made aluminum frame CNC router that I have used for many custom carving projects.  The two drawers and all eight joints were done using the same pattern and it took a whole day to code and cut the two drawers.  The next ones will go much faster, and I have a feeling from the feedback there will be many more drawers done this way in the future.
