The Cross

This is a cross I made for one of the bedrooms in our house. It is a simple project but was well received. It is made with curly maple and some African rosewood wood a friend gave me. I liked the contrasting woods and I tried to get the maple to look like rays coming from the cross. Lap joints for the cross and hidden spines for the halo.

The curly maple achieved the desired effect. Nice.
Both are very interesting woods, and the two being so different from each other compliment each other the way you used them. Very artistic!
