SAPELE TV STAND WITH INLAY
INSPIRATION TO BUILD THIS CABINET CAME FROM A PREVIOUS FINE WOODWORKING MAGAZINE ARTICLE DATED OCTOBER 2010. THIS CABINET WAS MADE TO PERSONAL DESIGN SPECIFICATONS AND MADE OF SAPELE HARD AND PLYWOOD GLUE UPS WITH PANGA PANGA INLAYS INSIDE AND OUT. THE CABINET ROLLS ON CASTERS HIDDEN BEHIND THE SKIRT. GLASS IS BRONZE TINTED. FINISH IS WATCO CLEAR DANISH OIL WITH A FINAL COAT OF BEES WAX.

The inlay really adds a nice touch - large cabinets tend to look a little monotonous but you have managed to avoid that without going overboard. I also like the addition of casters - did you design the skirts to be removed for those big moves? Very nicely done sir!

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate them.
No the skirts are permanently attached, but I will consider it in my next project.
