I built this cabinet for a local charity auction. My plan was to build this as a practice piece and play around with some ideas and then build my own. The wife and I had some difficulties with donating or keeping. But, this cabinet is too big and won’t fit the spot I planned to put one, so…..it was donated.

I strarted with a gnarly piece of rustic ash, that I thought would be a focal point of the piece. The sides are made with this board, and the top as well is ash.

The doors and drawers are hickory. These are my first glass doors and I am very pleased with how they turned out. My plan was to make a very simple cabinet and allow the doors to stand out, I think it worked.
