It's not easy to design something of interest when necessity dictates it be essentially a big box. I think you've done a great job of finding a pleasing balance between utter simplicity and gaudiness with your use of the simple panels and the the carved feet. And the heft of the lid is just right with the mass of the base. The piece appears solid, honest, and handsome - not at all contrived. Bravo.
