The Dreamcatcher Man Cave
This is a layout of my current shop where I create custom architectural steel and wood works.
The layout tool here is a bit limited but the basic plan is 24′ x 24′ with two roll up doors and two entry doors. The heart of my shop is a Delta 3hp Unisaw with 52″ fence and built in router table, a Grizzly 2hp dust collector, a c.a. 1915 C.O.Porter 12″ Jointer, a Ridgid 13″ Planer, and two maple workbenches. One wall of my shop is just a bench and hand tools. Another wall is tool storage, 5hp (custom built) DeVilbiss Air Compressor, vintage Craftsman benchtop drill press, Shopsmith Lathe, and a vintage Delta 17″ Drill Press in the corner. Next to the drill press is a refurbished 20″ Delta Bandsaw, a vintage 10″ Duro Bandsaw, a 24″ deep cast iron wood stove, a vintage DeWalt GP Radial Arm Saw, my clamp rack, and my solvent cabinet. I also have a rolling lumber rack and a cart to roll my Makita LS1013 SCMS around.
While I wasn’t able to depict it using the limited icons that were given, I also have a 6 foot tall wall mounted heater to keep the shop warm when the fire goes out and a 2′ x 3′ mini bar where I keep plenty of beer and whiskey for my guests.
Finally, my favorite shop items are my two big labrador retrievers; Apollo and Zeus. They are brothers although one is yellow and the other black but they are usually cozied right up with each other, sleeping in front of the wood stove.
Maybe I will post some pics of my shop on my blog The Man Cave over at www.dreamcatcherdb.com Please feel free to check it out and maybe even give me a “like” on Facebook too!
Cheers!
