Dream Rocker Reproduction
When I first saw the David Haig’s beautiful dream rocker on the back cover of FW215 I had to try and build one. He is my first attempt. Without any dimensions to go by I prepared paper skecthes and compared these to the photos to get similar proportions. I then made a full sized mock-up using foam core. Unlike the Haig original the various parts are made from bent laminations and not steam bending. Since this was my first attempt I used inexpensive pine shelving boards to resaw the laminations.

The minute I saw Haig's rocker I added it to my bucket list. Still there, but someday. Nice job. The dining table and chairs in the background are also interesting.
I also have added it to my bucket list. It is a challenging project.
One day I expect to read that you've made one of your wonderful chairs out of pallet wood.

That is fantastic. Do you have any "work in process" photos? I just glued up my first back leg of this chair today, I hope I got the glue mixture right...first time laminating.
Very nicely done!!!
