jewellery case
Boxes within boxes all made of squares. I like the square, its a pure shape. In fact I reckon tv sets would be better square instead of rectangular. They would certainly look nicer when not turned on. Anyway, I’m rambling again so lets get to it: this jewellery case is based on a 12″ square section, and 6″ high. The veneer is ripple sycamore one of my favourite woods and simply cut into squares alternating the grain direction 90º. The refraction of the light does the effect for me. The whole case is outlined in jet black ebony and french polished. The legs flow seemlessly from the outlining which stands proud of the casework. Ladies love boxes and boxes within boxes, and upon opening, there stand two ebony boxes with lids and handles lined with cream leather. All very simple and clean and crisp and elegant. She was delighted.

Very nice i must say. I love the contrast. Nice clean lines too.
I love it!
Elegant!
I'll have to try Sycamore one of these days.
Very nice, sure to be timeless. I like the way box looks like it hangs from a delicate frame.
