Rosewood & Maple Burl End Table
This was an exercise in design. The shape of the legs and how they are oriented in the base are just a little unconventional. maple burl was not big enough to radius to match to the leading edge. ||So, I am not very impressed with the straight edge beside the curved leading edge, but the clients love it, especially after I showed them the alien hiding in the burl. (see the last photo)
All of the rosewood, including the legs were sawn and sanded veneers (1/16″ thick) by me. It is Siamese rosewood (Dalbergia beriensis). Feet and the bead at the bottom of the aprons are curly maple.
Frame around the burl picked from curly rosewood pieces.
Thanks for viewing.
