Walnut, Beech & Bamboo bookcase

The shallow vessels sitting on the shelf were carved with 7" & 4 1/2" angle grinders.
After three or more years of my wife threatening me that she was going to Ikea to buy herself a bookshelf, I finally got around to knocking this together for her birthday this year. Built entirely out of shop scraps and a leftover sheet of bamboo ply it stands just a little over 6′ tall and is about 5′ wide.

Roughly 5' x 6' give or take a few inches. This one was more of a free form "winging it" project and didn't really even require a tape measure.

The empty shelves kind of show the simplicity of the design.
