Built for a very dear friend, this was designed to fit a very specific space and to hold very specific objects.
The drawer has a unique locking mechanism to allow it to open almost completely but not be pulled out unintentionally.

Now, the drawer can be removed completely, or put into place.

The "catch" here prevents the drawer from being inadvertently pulled out. When closed it catches the head of a round headed brass screw driven into the underneath of the bottom shelf.
