Mad Dawg Table
“Mad Dawg Table” was a public commission I received for a fire station in Anchorage, AK. The city of Anchorage has a 1% for Art program where 1% of the cost to build a new public building or remodel is spent for artwork for the building. In this case, a large dining table. It measures 14′ long, 48″ wide and 31″ high and is made of quarter sawn white oak (base), walnut (top and accents), glass and a large river rock. To watch a video/slideshow of the construction and installation of the table including one-of-a-kind unique transportation, follow this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80HNbAQ6VnQ

Wonderful story and beautiful table. That's really huge! The video was fun to watch as well. I hope the experience brings you much success.
Awesomely good. Design, construction and installation.
Thats a fantastic table! I especially love the inclusion of the river rock. Very artistic I think. Good luck with it. I still have to watch the video and look forward to it...
Wow, excellent design and execution! When I first saw it I was hoping that you had an extra set of hands in moving it, Then I watched the video and started laughing to myself.
Great job!
Thanks for the comments! It's the biggest table I've ever built. As you can tell in the video, there wasn't a lot of room left in my shop when it was all put together. And now I'm spoiled for delivery of those big pieces.
